DRAHT-LUX®

With the DRAHT-LUX®, leftover copper wire on precision spools no longer stands a chance: the innovative cutter removes the remaining wire quickly, easily and effectively.

The intelligent cutter

When wire or strands wound on a spool are nearing the end, there are almost always remnants left behind, which even professionals find difficult to remove and take up a lot of valuable time. The DRAHT-LUX® is a cleverly designed cutter that makes it easy to remove residual copper wire, aluminium wire and plastic strands from the spool. Equipped with various interchangeable blades, the tool adapts precisely to your needs.

Performance

Customers all over the world rely on the advantages of the DRAHT-LUX®. Residues of copper wire, cables or similar on precision spools no longer stand a chance. Leftover wires can now be removed quickly, easily and effectively using our innovative cutter without any effort.

The blade section is particularly easy to handle thanks to special technology. Soaking the felt once ensures continuous lubrication for up to 20 minutes. A special coating and high-performance cutting agents enable a significantly longer blade service life. Test the product for 7 days before you buy and see its practicality for yourself.

Fast. Uncomplicated. Effective.

Would you like to use your precision coils several times, but are tired of the tedious work of removing the remains of copper wire or cables and the like? Then we have a practical solution for you. The „miracle device“ that saves you effort and is still effective: the DRAHT-LUX®, our intelligent cutter with different blade geometries and easy handling.

Blade change

To guarantee the performance of the DRAHT-LUX®, it is essential that the blades are correctly adjusted when they are replaced after reaching the wear limit. In the following video you will find simple instructions on how to easily replace the blades.

Scope of delivery

The DRAHT-LUX® delivery includes the basic device, a set of blades, a set of spanners and 0.25 litres of cutting agent. Everything is packed in a practical case.

The enclosed cutting agent has been specially developed for demanding machining work on high-alloy and stainless steels. It achieves excellent results when machining chrome-nickel steel, titanium and manganese-carbon steels and is ideal for drilling, tapping, reaming, grooving, countersinking, turning and milling.

WIRE LUX® KNIFE

To ensure that you can achieve excellent results when using DRAHT-LUX®, we customise the blade geometries to suit your individual requirements. We have coated and uncoated knives, which also differ depending on the material and are divided into four segments: normal, pointed, wide and round.

normal

StandardCut

The standard blade is our all-time favourite and is available uncoated or coated. The uncoated blade has a service life of approx. 8-9 tonnes of copper wire.

Use

  • CU wire up to 0.8 max. 1 mm
  • Cable 3 x 1.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Cable 5 x 2.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Steel wire 0.8 mm S235 Material

pointed

TightCut S

The uncoated, pointed blade has a service life of approx. 8-9 tonnes of copper wire and is particularly suitable for material that is wound very tightly onto the spool.

Use

  • CU wire up to 0.8 max. 1 mm
  • Cable 3 x 1.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Cable 5 x 2.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Steel wire 0.8 mm S235 Material

wide

LooseCut B

The wide blade has an uncoated service life of 8-9 tonnes of copper wire and is suitable for plastic strands and material that is loosely wound onto the spool.

Use

  • CU wire up to 0.8 max. 1 mm
  • Cable 3 x 1.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Cable 5 x 2.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Steel wire 0.8 mm S235 Material
  • Plastic strands up to 0.8 mm

round

SafeCut R

The uncoated, round blade has a service life of approx. 8-9 tonnes of copper wire and is particularly gentle for use on plastic spools.

Use

  • CU wire up to 0.8 max. 1 mm
  • Cable 3 x 1.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Cable 5 x 2.5 mm² diameter with rubber sheathing
  • Steel wire 0.8 mm S235 Material

Knife coatings

Our knives are available both uncoated and with a high-quality coating. The knives listed above have proven themselves as reliable all-rounders in everyday use. Coated versions are also available for certain materials or particularly demanding applications. Depending on the intended use, these can specifically optimise performance.

CrN (standard)

CrN reduces friction and offers good hardness with a long service life. The coating is silver grey and has a Microhardness of 2,500 HV 0.05 with a Coefficient of friction of 0.30. It is suitable for a wide variety of materials and achieves a Maximum application temperature of 800 °C.

  • NDurable and universally applicable

TOPCUT

This coating offers a extremely low coefficient of friction of only 0.10 and is black. With a Microhardness of 3,000 HV 0.05 it is more robust than CrN and can be Maximum operating temperature of 400 °C designed.

    • NParticularly smooth running with sensitive or softer materials
    • NIdeal for plastic strands and soft sheaths

    HIGHCUT

The highest-performance coating offers a Microhardness of 4,000 HV 0.05 maximum wear resistance. The Coefficient of friction is 0.30, the coating is light gold. Thanks to their heat resistance up to 1,100 °C it is ideal for heavy-duty applications.

    • NMaximum wear resistance and durability
    • NIdeal for very tightly wound material
